Caviar Star Customers Help Raise $$$$ for Nourish NC!

“NourishNC is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to “Provide healthy food to hungry children, empowering them to succeed in the classroom and in their community.” Our goal is to enhance children’s health and well-being by preventing the devastating consequences of child hunger. We are committed to providing our community’s most vulnerable children with nutritious food.”

This past August we partnered up with a wonderful charity close to home, Nourish NC. They provide healthy meals for children in need in the New Hanover County (Wilmington) area and across the state of North Carolina.

We pledged to donate a percentage of August online store sales to NourishNC, so they can pack more backpacks full of fresh, healthy food! 

We are happy to announce that with your help, we donated $2000! 
That's 1600 meals, 1400 snacks, + hundreds of fruits and drinks...It could be a years supply of nourishing produce for 27 kids...or it could help nourish 4 children for an entire year!

In New Hanover county “1 in 5 children go hungry or are food insecure” and, “nearly half of all kids qualify for free & reduced lunch.” With all of the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and returning to schools, organizations like NourishNC are incredibly important for many hungry children depending on school meals for sufficient nutrition.

A donation of $10 will feed a child over the weekend. That $10 would provide a child in NHC with 8 meals, 7 snacks, plus fruit and a drink.

$75 nourishes a child with produce for a year, $500 nourishes a child in general for an entire year.
