Key Characteristics:
- Species: Tuber Melanosporum, native to Southern Europe
- Aroma & Taste: Smoky, earthy, with hints of strawberries, wet earth, dried fruit, and cocoa. The flavor is slightly peppery and bitter when heated.
- Storage: Best stored wrapped in paper towels in the refrigerator at 37.5°F (3°C) to preserve the aroma and flavor. The product typically lasts for 1-2 weeks.
Important Information:
- Fresh Truffles: Available seasonally, from December to March. The strongest aroma and flavor are typically found in January and February.
- Shipping: Orders processed within 24 hours and shipped via Priority Overnight. Orders must be received by 12 PM EST (Monday-Thursday) to ship the next day. Orders placed after the deadline or on weekends will ship the following Monday or Tuesday.
- Shipping Location: Truffles are shipped in an insulated box from New Jersey.
