The following items are a summary of the essential policies and terms of use that should be read and agreed to before placing your order on caviarstar.com
 
*Current order cut-off time for next-day perishable delivery is 2 PM EST. 

We utilize Next-Day service via UPS for perishables, shipping perishables Monday-Thursday (and Friday with additional Saturday shipping fee). We are packaging with extra ice so that your order will stay cold for at least 48 hours of transit time. Please understand we will do our absolute best to get your order to you but once it's placed in the hands of UPS, shipping delays are out of our control. Please contact us and we will help however we can. If your order arrives more than 48 hours after shipment time and is no longer cold, please contact us immediately to start the claim process.

Order ahead! Your caviar will stay fresh for at least 3 weeks, unopened & properly stored 27-37 °F

Orders Containing Caviar and Perishable Products 

Placing Your Order: 

  • Orders containing temperature-sensitive products will be processed and shipped the same day if placed and verified before 2 PM EST, Monday through Thursday, or on Friday with the Saturday shipping upcharge. 

  • Holidays may affect order processing and shipping times. (November & December order cutoff is 12 PM EST.) 

  • Orders are processed based on customer-provided information. Please review your shipping address, service, requested delivery date, and any additional comments before checkout. Contact us immediately if changes are needed. 

Shipping Address: 

  • Perishable shipments cannot be sent to PO boxes. 

  • Manual verification is required for shipments with unverified delivery addresses or mismatched billing and shipping addresses. 

  • To enhance fraud protection, additional verification steps may be required for new customers using different shipping and billing addresses, including contacting the account holder or recipient before shipping. 

Shipping Costs: 

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout using our discounted carrier rates. Costs are based on service level, estimated weight, and dimensions. 

  • Shipping discounts based on order value: 

  • Spend $100: 10% off shipping 

  • Spend $200: 20% off shipping 

  • Spend $300: 30% off shipping 

  • Spend $400: 40% off shipping 

  • Spend $500+: Free shipping 

  • Orders over $500 qualify for free shipping with insurance and required signature upon delivery (unless changed by the courier). Insurance does not cover extreme weather delays. 

  • Perishable shipments over $500: Free Next-Day Shipping. 

  • Non-perishable shipments over $500: Free Ground Shipping. 

Shipping Your Order: 

  • Perishable orders should be shipped via UPS Next-Day Delivery. 

  • Alternative service levels may be available but are not guaranteed for spoilage claims due to late delivery. 

  • Products are packed in insulated boxes with gel ice to maintain temperature for up to 48 hours. 

  • Certain products may be shipped separately from other fulfillment warehouses. 

  • UPS Next-Day Delivery: Available Tuesday through Friday. 

  • Saturday Delivery: Orders placed between 2 PM Thursday and 2 PM Friday require an overnight Saturday Delivery upcharge. 

  • Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories: Shipping is available and calculated at checkout. 

  • North and South Carolina: Regional shipments receive discounted express and Saturday services. Ground service is available but does not guarantee overnight delivery or temperature maintenance. 

Delivery Information: 

  • Delivery Date: Orders placed before 2 PM, Monday through Thursday, will typically arrive the next day. Customers may request a later shipment date at checkout. (November & December cutoff: 12 PM EST.) 

  • Delivery Time: 

  • "UPS Next Day Overnight" usually delivers by late morning or early afternoon. 

  • "UPS Next Day Saver" delivers later in the day, guaranteed by 9 PM for residences and 4:30 PM for businesses. 

  • Morning delivery is only guaranteed with the "UPS Next-Day Early" upgrade. 

  • Delays: Weather and mechanical issues may cause delays. If an issue arises, contact the courier first, then notify us within 24 hours. Please provide photos of damages for claims processing. 

  • In-Person Pickup: Caviar Star is not a retail facility. Orders must be placed online or via phone. Pickup is available with advance notice; same-day pickup requires ordering before 11 AM EST. Wait times vary based on order volume. 

 

Orders Containing Dry Goods and Non-Perishable Products 

Placing Your Order: 

  • Non-perishable orders placed before 2 PM EST, Monday through Friday, will ship the same day. 

  • Delivery can take 1–5 business days, depending on location. 

  • Holidays may affect order processing and shipping times. 

Shipping Address & Details: 

  • Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping information. 

  • Orders ship via UPS Ground with protective packaging. 

  • Non-perishable orders over $500: Free Ground Shipping. 

  • Next-Day shipping for non-perishable orders: Available for an additional fee. 

  • Estimated Ground Shipping Times: 

  • Continental U.S.: 1–5 business days. 

  • North & South Carolina: Lowered shipping rates apply. Perishable orders may use UPS Ground, but this voids the on-time perishables return policy. 

Delivery Information: 

  • Delivery Date: Orders placed before 2 PM EST, Monday through Friday, will typically deliver within 1–5 business days. 

  • Delivery Time: 

  • UPS Ground delivers between 9 AM–5 PM for non-residential addresses. 

  • Residential deliveries usually end by 7 PM but may occur up to 9 PM during peak seasons. 

  • Delays: Rare, but possible. Ground orders not delivered within 7 business days can be claimed as lost.
